The health & welfare trust benefit plan year is different than the student health plan year--our plan year is November 1 to October 31 of each year.  We are currently still in plan year 2008-09, which ends 10/31/09.  The 2009-10 plan year runs from November 1, 2009-October 31, 2010.

If you're an incoming new graduate student employee for academic year 2009-10, and did not earn wages in a GEO eligible position during 2008-09, your first possible date for coverage is November 1, 2009.

You will receive an enrollment packet for plan year 2009-10 in your departmental mailboxes by mid-September 2009.  Online enrollments begin 9/24/09.
