We’d like to share a solidarity action on behalf of the PSU and USA unions at UMass Amherst. Please read their message below and join us on Wednesday to learn more about how this affects workers on our campus:
Over the weekend, more than 100 members from PSU and USA have learned that their jobs and pensions are under threat due to a plan to privatize their positions by upper administration members including Chief Human Resources Officer Bill Brady and Vice Chancellor Arwen Duffy. Affected members are ready to fight, and need our help. Support your Advancement co-workers by attending the all-membership Zoom meeting Wednesday, Feb. 22 at noon to learn directly from affected members about what they are facing and what we can do together to protect jobs and public work.
We are stronger together, and we believe that we have the power to win. We look forward to seeing you at this important meeting.
