We will be hosting a bargaining committee meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, July 30) at 11:00am and Wednesday (July 31) at 2:30pm to discuss with members our strategy going into the next mediation session on Tuesday, August 13.

During this meeting, we will hold an open forum to consider several potential counterproposals we may present to the university’s bargaining team. It is absolutely crucial that members are willing to provide their opinions on our strategy to ensure the bargaining team is faithfully representing all of GEO at the table. Below you will find a summary of GEO’s most recent proposals (those given at the July 22 mediation session).
Summary of GEO’s Proposal:
Year 1 (’23-’24)
$5,000.00 lump sum retro-payment
$4.90/hr added to the GEO minimum
($32.66 -> $37.56)
Year 2 (’24-’25)
10% wage increase
($37.56 -> $41.31)
$400 per month per member housing stipend
Year 3 (’25-’26)
5% wage increase
($41.31 -> $43.38)
$450 per month per member housing stipend
