On May 1, 2023, GEO’s annual elections concluded for officers for the upcoming year and a vacancy on our bargaining committee. The results of the elections are as follows:

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the election—the candidates as well as the members who voted!

Additionally, only two candidates nominated themselves for the positions of GEO co-chairs: Hannah Ku and Ragini Jha. Per our bylaws, since their election was not contested,we will be having a special stewards’ assembly to confirm them as our union co-chairs for next year. This meeting will take place on May 11th, Thursday, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Zoom. Although only GEO stewards may vote in this meeting, it is open to all members in good standing, and everyone shall have a voice and be able to ask questions and participate in the discussion about our union’s priorities for the next year.
